The team is in the home stretch of the season. On the last weekend in June we went to Cecil County Maryland. Never
having raced at this track, we did not know what to expect and it turns out it is one of my favorites with my first National
WIN!!!!!! in the SEP class. What a great feeling! We got a short break with the month of July off. The
family and I went on one of the best vacations ever to Disney. When we got home, I had a week to get ready for Bristol
Tn. Roger took great care in making sure the bikes were ready. I worked on loading the RV and away we went. With
a win in Cecil we were in a great frame of mind. As we went through the qualifiying round, we focused on getting the right
tune on the motors to run as close to the index as we could. Bristol's altitude can be a real challenge. After the last
round we felt good about the bikes tune. We ran 11.56 in the SEP class. During Sundays elimination, we lost
in the SE class and in the SS class in the first round. In the SEP class we hung in there to make it to the "Show" and luck
was on our side as we continued to win round after round to finish with our 2nd WIN!! BACK TO BACK WINS!!!! We
were speechless! Our next event is here at home in Richmond Va. With a little luck we should do well. Thanks goes
out to Roger for hanging in there and keeping the bikes going, and my family for their support on the home front.
